With the aim of establishing an asylum NGO network (covering not only the Balkan region but also other European countries), which would represent a solid frame for exchange of experience, professional knowledge, information, statistical data, as well as for exploring possibilities for joint projects, the Asylum Protection Center (APC), Belgrade, made contacts with the Slovakian nongovernmental organization – Human Rights League (Bratislava, Slovakia), as well as with the Legal Clinic for Refugees and Immigrants (Sofia, Bulgaria),
in May this year. Activities of the colleagues from Bulgaria and Slovakia in the area of asylum seekers and refugees protection coincide with those of the APC, and being distinguished lecturers and heads of legal asylum clinics at the universities in their country, our colleagues can contribute a great deal to further improvement of this cooperation making it more effective.
