OBJECTIVES of the ASYLUM PROTECTION CENTER are to:
• Improve and promote the idea of protection and assistance to refugees in the Republic of Serbia and the idea of providing adequate legal and other assistance to asylum seekers, refugees, displaced persons and all other persons who due to trouble had to migrate, while respecting fundamental human rights;
• Provide promotion and protection of the rights of asylum seekers, refugees, displaced persons and all other persons who due to trouble had to migrate into our society;
• Provide legal and other assistance to asylum seekers, refugees, displaced persons, readmitted and all other migrants;
• Support the adoption of new legislation on asylum and regulation of issues related to asylum and refugee legal and other protection in accordance with legislation and practices in EU countries;
• Monitor the work of state institutions with asylum seekers, refugees, displaced persons and all other persons who due to trouble had to migrate;
• Educate young lawyers and students through organized practices at the Center;
• Inform the public about the situation and give facts about the adoption and implementation of the institute of asylum;
• Inform the public about the statistics relating to asylum seekers, refugees, displaced and all others who due to trouble had to migrate;
• Inform the public about the activities of the state authorities in the field of asylum;
• Establish direct links and contacts with other organizations, associations, societies and centers in the country and the world, for cooperation, training and experience exchange;
• Establish dialogue and communication between local people and asylum seekers, refugees, displaced and all others who due to trouble had to migrate;
• Achieve other objectives of interest to the association and asylum seekers, refugees, displaced and all others who due to trouble had to migrate;
The main motto of the members of the Asylum Protection Center is "A friend is not a little, a thousand of them not much".
